Top Travel Insurance for Over 80s with pre-existing medical conditions
We understand that finding travel insurance in your 80s can sometimes be difficult. This is typically because the risk of insuring older travellers is higher. Existing medical conditions are more common, and these can lead to a higher risk of travel-associated issues like infections and injury.
However, as a specialist medical Travel Insurance provider for travellers 80 and over, we can help you find a policy tailored to your specific needs.
Here are some of the most common medical conditions we cover:
- Heart conditions – We cover all cardiovascular issues affecting heart function. This includes high blood pressure and atrial fibrillation.
- Chronic illnesses – According to NCOA research, nearly 95% of adults 60 and older are living with at least one chronic condition. We provide cover for cancer, Crohn’s disease, IBS, gallstones and other long-lasting chronic conditions.
- Respiratory problems – Respiratory conditions include asthma, causing breathing difficulties, and COPD, leading to airflow obstruction and breathing difficulties.
- Neurological conditions – These are disorders affecting the brain and nervous system, like strokes, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.
- Diabetes – Disruptions in insulin production or usage affecting blood sugar levels, including diabetes.
- Musculoskeletal conditions – Conditions that affect your bones, muscles, and joints, including back problems and osteoporosis.
